NALBACH - Mr. Robert Charles Nalbach, age 64, of Irons, MI., veteran of the United States Army, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly Friday, December 17, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Suzanne Nalbach in 1988; his father, Anthony and brothers, Lawrence, Paul and Thomas. Surviving are his wife, Mary; his children, Kerrie Jo (Tom) Nalbach Wunderlich, Paul (Amy) Nalbach, Sarah Olds, David Olds, and Rebekah Olds; three granddaughters, Sariah, Kole and Elle; his mother, Stella M. Nalbach; his sister, Mary Helen (Nalbach) Schnerch, many nieces and nephews and his dog, Ginger. Bob was a well respected electrical inspector, business owner, served on the State examining board for 12 years and was a current member of the I.A.E.I. He was a member of St. Bernards Parish, Irons. A Mass of Christian Burial and Committal Service will be celebrated Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at the Basilica of St. Adalbert. He will repose in church one hour prior to mass. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Arsulowicz Brothers, West Mortuary, 585 Stocking NW, where a Vigil Service will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Lake County Community Foundation, P.O. Frank Nesbitt, Honorary Chapter Member and long time Chapter Board member passed away February 4, 2010, his services include visitation on Sunday from 2:00 PM till 8:00 PM and the funeral will be at 11:00 AM on Monday. Potere-Modetz Funeral Home, 339 Walnut Blvd. Rochester, MI 48307.
Edward Gannon, 71, passed away October 24, 2009, suddenly while vacationing in Puerto Rico. Ed regularly attended our Chapter meetings with his wife Colleen. He had been a member of the IAEI Michigan Chapter for over 23 years and will be missed at our meetings. (View Obituary)

Edward Jaromin, 83, passed away April 16, 2009. Ed was an electrical contractor for over forty (40) years and a member of the Michigan Chapter for over nineteen (19) years. He was currently the electrical inspector for the Village of Maybee, Exeter, London, Milan, Ida, Bedford, and Ash Townships. Ed served in WWII in the U. S. Army in Africa, Europe, and the Pacific theaters.

David Burns,  age 75 of Green Oak Twp. died November 22, 2007 after a long struggle with pancreatic cancer.

Dave was born on October 11, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Henry Ford Trade School in 1950. He servedduring the Korean Conflict as a paratrooper with the 508th "Red Devils" Battalion of the 82nd Airborne division.
Dave spent his entire life in the electrical industry. He had his own electrical contracting business before becoming an electrical inspector. He was a 30 year member of the IAEI, International Association of Electrical Inspectors, Michigan Chapter. He served on the Board of Directors for many years. He also served on the Reciprical Electrical Council Board. He provided electrical training in his spare time. Dave was a member of the Livonia Fire Department for eight years.

He is survived by his daughters, Denise (Richard) Martel, Renee (Mark) Jones, and Carrie Burns; grandchildren, David and Christopher Dobek, Ashley and Lauren Jones; sisters, Helen Borsodi and Gloria Strobel and a brother, Thomas Burns as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A Funeral Mass held at St. Mary Magdalen Church, in Brighton on Monday, November 26, with Fr. David Howell officiating. Burial and military honors at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Milford.
Herb Mita Retired Electrical Inspector Washtenaw County. Herb passed away on October 12, 2007.
Robert West of Stockbridge, Bob passed away October 10, 2007 Bob and his wife Bracky were very much apart of the Michigan Chapter. Together they attend most of our Chapter meetings. The Chapter has lost a good friend. (obituary)

Don Knibbs of Beverly Hills 
Phillip Edelheit, 83 of Southfield, Died December 1, 2006.  Phillip was an electrical contractor, Past Board Member of the Michigan Chapter IAEI, a Member of the Michigan Electrical Contractors Association.  Member of the Jewish War Veterans, he served in the Air Force during World War II as a radar technician. Beloved husband of the late Charlotte Edelheit. Dearest father of Janis (Samuel) Holcman and Laurie (Howard) Weinberger. Loving grandfather of Bradley Holcman and Fiance' Samantha Walsh, Dana Holcman, Chelsea and Cody Weinberger. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Jonnie Bettis Jr. Retired inspector and Chief of the City of Detroit's electrical division. passed away on November 28, 2006.   He served the city for 31 years retiring in 2004.  He enjoyed teaching evening classes at several city schools to aspiring electricians and inspectors.  He attended all of his son's (Jerome) Pittsburgh Stealers football team games.  He was 61.

Donald J. Johnson was born December 4, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late James and Ada Coulter Johnson, and had worked various different jobs in his youth, from Free Press Paperboy to seven years at a downtown Detroit Fur Salon. He also worked as a Fuller Brush and Faygo route salesman, followed by nine years at Tasty Chip Steak Co. all in Detroit.
Don served his country with the United States Marine Corp Reserves from 1947 until his honorable discharge in 1949. Summer camps were in Camp Lejeune, N.C.
His marriage to Carol Ann Ballance was October 25, 1969 in Warren and have lived in Columbus Township ever since.
He was owner and operator of Fairway Electric Inc. for over 35 years. Don was Columbus Township's Electrical Inspector since 1974. He was a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors for over 33 years and served on the St. Clair County Electrical Exam Board for many years as well.
Don had many interests, including flying lessons, boat ownership, model railroading, antiques, sign making, and was columnist for the former Richmond Review Newspaper. He recently performed in four plays with the Richmond Community Theater. His favorite Part was Dr. Ford.
