2014 NEC
The State of Michigan adopted the 2014 Michigan Electrical Code on June 18, 2015. The 2011 edition of the National Electrical Code has been updated to the 2014 NEC that was published in September of 2013.
The National Fire Protection Association, NFPA, has seen a drastic decrease in the number of Proposals and Comments to amend the code for the 2014 edition. The 2011 NEC had more Proposals and Comments compared to other code cycles.
Proposed Changes
The 19 NEC Code-Making Panels met in January 2012 to act on the 3,745 NEC proposals to change the current edition.

There are four new articles along with significant updates to Articles 370, 517, 625, 645, 690, and 695.
